Alfa-Bank and “UkrSibbank” start initial offering of bonds of First Ukrainian International bank

On April 11, 2008 CJSC “Alfa-Bank” and JSCIB “UkrSibbank” started initial offering of B series bonds of Closed Joint-Stock Company “First Ukrainian International bank”.

Emission volume of the bonds makes up UAH 300 mln. (USD 59.4 mln.), maturity – 3 years (redemption date – April 8-9, 2011). According to the terms of emission nominal yield for 1-2 interest periods makes up 13.5% p.a., interest income is paid up once a half-year. The bonds stipulate annual offer.

Moody's awarded the B series bonds issue by FUIB the Àà2.ua rating, Fitch agency - A-(ukr).

CJSC “Alfa-Bank” and JSCIB “UkrSibbank” act as underwriters of bonds issue.

First Ukrainian International bank is one of the largest banks in Ukraine and is considered to be a universal bank. Its activity is concentrated on commercial, retail and investment banking operations. The bank was founded in 1991. The bank’s shareholders are LLC “SCM Finance” (99.78% of the share capital) and individuals (0.22%). The affiliates network of the Bank amounts to 11 affiliated branches and 110 outlets.

In compliance with the IAS as of 01.03.2008 the bank’s assets – USD 2 463 mln., corporate clients loan portfolio – USD 1 362 mln., private clients loan portfolio - USD 457 mln., equity capital – USD 494 mln., profit – USD 11 mln.

Alfa-Bank is an integral part of “Alfa-Group”. In 2008 the bank was listed among the TOP-10 largest banks according to the NBU classification. As of April 01, 2008 the financial result of the bank made up UAH 19 mln., that corresponds to 110% growth against the same period in 2007. In 2008 the bank increased its authorized capital up to UAH 1.74 bln.

Moody’s assigned the bank Â2 rating (Outlook – Positive) for obligations in foreign currency and Âa3 for obligations in national currency (Outlook — Stable). Long-term rating on national scale is Àà1.ua.

The bank holds leading positions among the managers on market placement of corporate bonds. In 2002—2007 the bank acted as an arranger and successfully placed corporate loans of the following companies as pharmaceutical company OJSC “Galychfarm”, confectionary CJSC “ABK”, building company CJSC “Mandarin Plaza”, milk product producer CJSC “Molochnyk” (through LLC “Agrospetsresursy”), supermarkets chain “Velyka Kyshenja”, metallurgical company JV LLC “Metalen”, sunflower oil producer CJSC “Creativ” (through LLC “Sunoil–Finance”), major producer of electric power in Ukraine National Atomic Energy Generating Company “Energoatom”, large producer of large-size tires CJSC “Dhiproshyna”, producer of drilling equipment “Drogobych drill plant”, “Insurance Company “Universalna”, retail chain “Fora”. The bank organized and placed bonded debts for the total amount of UAH 2.73 bln.

JSCIB “UkrSibbank” (www.ukrsibbank.com) was registered on June 18, 1990. The Bank has a full NBU license on banking ¹ 75 of December 24, 2001. As of 01.02.2008: net assets – UAH 39.6 bln., capital – UAH 4.6 bln., loan and investment portfolio makes up UAH 35.3 bln., corporate customers’ funds – UAH 5 bln., individuals’ funds – UAH 7 bln. Regional network currently amounts to more than 1 000 branches and outlets throughout Ukraine. 69 thousand of Ukraine’s businesses are customers of JSCIB «UkrSibbank», the amount of individuals’ accounts exceeds 3.2 mln. In April 2006, BNP Paribas purchased 51% of shares in JSCIB “UkrSibbank”.
