Silver coin

"Silver Coin" joint charity project of All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization "Down Syndrome" and UkrSibbank

April 2, 2010 marked the end of the first stage of the "Silver Coin" charity project. The 6 weeks of the project duration brought quite an impressive amount of UAH 61625.72. The money was collected to equip Early Learning and Development Center for children suffering from Down’s syndrome and other genetic features in Kyiv.

Starting from February 17 special boxes were installed at all Kyiv branches of UkrSibbank for the bank customers and visitors to donate coins or banknotes. 1, 5, 25 or 50 kopecks do not impact our budget very much. However, when collected in thousands these small coins will actually help children with Down’s syndrome. The usage of the raised funds will be controlled by the board of guardians at all stages of works performed to equip the Center.
