French Spring festival
In April Ukraine always welcomes French art, exciting meetings, exhibitions, and warm feelings. This year is no exception, as the 10th French Spring Festival, Printemps français, is already in the air. This year’s tenth festival will be jam-packed with unique French projects, as well as joint Ukrainian and French chef-d’oeuvres. Traditionally, the festival’s entertaining and artistic events will travel to 6 Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk.
For 7 years in a row UkrSibbank BNP Paribas Group has been a sponsor of the French Spring Festival. This April the Bank supports French Film Panorama which abounds in entertaining and dazzling movies.
The festival kicks off on April 2 in Kyiv, at the Hryshko National Botanic Garden, with an open-air spectacular show The Flames (Flammes) by the French La Machine company. The show will be crowned by a breathtaking grand fireworks display.

Special guest of the 2013 French Spring Festival is Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, a renowned playwright, whose famous Little Marital Crimes (Petits crimes conjugaux) will be staged by the French Roseau theatre. Numerous Ukrainian theatres will host Cock’s cry (Cri du coq) brought by the French pantomime artistic company and Tiger, tiger, burning bright modern dance show.

French Movies Panorama offers a stunning premiere Möbius, a series of Spies (Espion(s)) movies, George Méliès cine-concert along with lots of other splendid films in store. Moreover, the festival programme features the famous visual arts projects: Jacques Chapiro’s paintings exhibition in the National Art Museum of Ukraine in Kyiv, photography exhibition form the world-known Air France collection, street art expositions, and the artistic project dedicated to the centenary of Malevich’s Black Square.

The 10th French Spring Festival is surely bound to bring a genuine festivity of French culture, arts, and entertainment.
