Other important activities of the Financial Institutions & Global Transaction Banking are: financing of the trading operations of Ukrainian companies, which have foreign-economic activity; REPO transactions in the international markets and etc.

In April 2006 a deal on the acquisition of the 51.0 % stake in UkrSibbank by BNP Paribas was completed. In 2009 the stake of BNP Paribas in UkrSibbank was increased to 81.42%, and in 2010 – to 99.99%.  In July 2011 European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) acquired 15% shares of UkrSibbank, thus share of BNP Paribas constituted 84.99%. BNP Paribas is in the top-10 world leading banks and present in more then 80 countries. The French bank is a leader in providing trade and structured finance services and origination of debt securities.
