French Cultural Center and UkrSibbank featuring a photo-show named “The Ukrainians” by Yuriy Bilyak

Few days ago, Yuriy Bilyak announced opening of his photo-show “The Ukrainians“at the Lviv Ethnography and Arts Museum. This event took place as a part of the French Spring in Ukraine 2007 festival with UkrSibbank being the primary sponsor.

Yuriy Bilyak, now a famous dancer, producer and a photographer was born in France in the Ukrainian immigrants’ family. Since his early childhood Yuriy Bilyak was charmed by the splendor of his ancestors’ culture and he kept on discovering something new about Ukraine. In 2004, he initiated a new project – ethnographic story about his Motherland. His pictures display the never-seen-before Ukraine. The exhibition is open for admission since March 30 till April 20.

• April 26 at 3.00 p.m., Lviv National Ivan Franko University - „Russian Regime and Polish Gentry in Ukraine, 1793 – 1830” by Daniel Bauvois, presentation of Ukrainian translation of the book with the author participating
• April 27 at 7.00 p.m., National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre – concert of Priska band, French rock with Slavonic motives.
