Alliance Franñaise and “UkrSibbank” invite to attend the play “Vesna” (“Spring”) by Gilles Granouillet, French author and director, that will take place on April 18 at the Kyiv Academic Young Theatre.
“Vesna” portrays the tragedy of a woman who suffered loss of her husband many years ago at the day of their marriage. Her husband worked for Chernobyl disaster recovery team. Olga, the main character, guides the tourists coming to the accident scene. The woman is looking for a new life and with the advent of the spring decides not to come back home …
Gilles Granouillet wrote the play during his visit to Ukraine in 2006. The first night of the play took place in December, 2007 in France. The staging united French and Ukrainian teams and won a positive reaction of the audience and press.
