UkrSibbank is the Best bank in Ukraine in 2008 by Global Finance

In March 2008 analysts of one of the leading financial analytical edition – “Global Finance” magazine, New York, have summarized results of traditional rating “World’s Best Bank Awards”. Under this rating the most outstanding and prosperous financial institutions are selected all over the world. UkrSibbank has been awarded “Best Emerging Market Banks in Central and Eastern Europe 2008 in Ukraine” second year in a row.
Global Finance editors – with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants give award to banks, which obtained the most significant results in financial market. This selection is conducted among banks in 21 countries. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth of assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products.
According to the Head of the Supervisory Council of UkrSibbank, Jean-Francois Varlet, last year was another successful and profitable year for the bank. Due to accurate strategy execution UkrSibbank has achieved significant results. UkrSibbank continues to be the most dynamic large bank in Ukraine. As a result, UkrSibbank is the 3rd largest bank in Ukraine in terms of total assets and market share.
As the Chairman of the Board Аdаrіch Оlеksаndr announced: «This award is the result of common efforts to increase the bank’s performance. We are building our bank to be the best financial institution in Ukraine bringing high quality banking services to our clients based on the advantages provided by the world’s best practices in the banking sector. Strategically UkrSibbank plans to significantly strengthen its retail network and to increase its market share in all segments. For the year 2008 we have even more aggressive goals with the respective strategy in place».
